Mary Chapin Carpenter & NPT Win Emmy Award

Nashville Public Television has won a regional Emmy for the documentary “No Going Back: Women and the War” in the HISTORICAL/CULTURAL PROGRAM category.

Premiered in February, 2012 and narrated by Mary Chapin Carpenter, this episode of NPT’s Civil War 150 series examines the lives of women in the mid 19th century south, and the inevitable cultural and societal changes brought on as a result of the Civil War.
